(P.S. Blogger comments have been a little fritzy as of late. I recommend copying your comment before trying to post it, just in case it gets eaten. If it does get eaten, refresh the page, paste and try again.)
My favorite out of all of those is the playlist but I also love a guest post where the author shares an opinion on a popular bookish subject.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great question! I rarely visit tour posts unless they have a review, BUT I still post spotlights on my blog for books that look interesting to me because I like to give my readers the chance to win the giveaways! Lately, I have more books to read than I can handle, so I don't enter a ton of giveaways myself, but I'm sure I'll go back to entering again at some point. I think I just got burned out. I do find that my giveaway posts on my blog tend to attract more readers than posts without. Good luck figuring it all out!!

To be honest, my knowledge of book tours is limited and I'm still only KINDA sure about what they are and how they work. But from the few I've come across, I really enjoy the author interviews. I've never come across a dream cast of music playlist but I would LOVE that.
ReplyDeleteGiveaways don't mean that much to me, mainly because I already have more books than I can swallow right now, but also because I follow many US blogs and got into a habit of not bothering to enter, even though many/most do ship to the UK. Bad habit, I guess. I have fallen into a pit of pessimism lately.
Interesting post! Sorry i've been AWOL, it's a long story... it really is.
