Title: Wild Justice (Nadia Stafford Series, Book 3)
Author: Kelley Armstrong
Release Date: October/November 2013
Summary (from Goodreads):
Protect the innocent. If there is any one principle that drives hit man Nadia Stafford, it’s this. In her own mind, when she was thirteen, she failed to protect her older cousin Amy from being murdered. Now she fails again, disastrously, when she botches a hit. To help her find her equilibrium, her mentor, Jack, brings her a gift: the location and new identity of the predator who killed her cousin and disappeared after the case against him failed.
Vengeance, justice? With the predator in her sights, nothing seems more right, more straightforward, more easy. But finding justice is never as simple as it seems.
Why I'm Looking Forward To It: Before you wonder why you've probably never heard of this series by Kelley Armstrong, it's one of her adult series - not YA. It's extremely rare for me to be excited about an adult book, but Nadia Stafford is one of the few exceptions - and I've been excited about this book for quite a while. The first released in 2007, the second in 2009, so needless to say I've been waiting on this, the third, for quite a few years now. Considering how long it's been since I've read the first two, my reasoning for why I love them is a little fuzzy, but what I do remember is that she and her mentor are meant to be together, darn it, and I'm willing to wait, and read, as long as it takes for this to happen. :)
So what book are you waiting on this Wednesday?
This doesn't sound like it's for me, but I hope that you get to read it soon! (:
ReplyDeleteIt does seem completely out of book-character for me as well, but I really enjoyed the first two. Sometimes I just need a mindless MMP sometimes. ;)
DeleteThanks for stopping by! :)
Hmmm....I do love the mentor/student paradigm. How is the romance in it?
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my WOW.

YA Sisterhood
I don't recall there being too much in the first 2, although it was never between Nadia and her mentor. T-T It's time already!
DeleteThanks for stopping by! :)
I'd love to read this because I hear this author is great. nice pick!
ReplyDeleteShe is great! Her YA Darkest Powers series is REALLY good as well - I definitely recommend it!
DeleteThanks for stopping by! :)
I haven't read anything by this author, but I've seen her name pop up before. If a story has good romance (whether that be YA or Adult) I'll usually want to read it!
ReplyDeleteLove Kelley Armstrong! I'm about to start The Rising by her, but I've never read any of her adult stuff. This looks good!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about this series. Sounds interesting.
