The Friday Reads Review (9/13/13)

Welcome to The Friday Reads Review, a regular Friday segment where I share what I've been reading the past week!

The 100 (The Hundred, #1)
The 100 by Kass Morgan (ARC)
There are FOUR POV characters, which I usually steer clear of, but as I will be watching the CW show this winter I want to know what I'll be getting myself into. And it's Sci-Fi, which I'm craving right now. So far

Destiny, Rewritten
Destiny, Rewritten by Kathryn Fitzmaurice (ARC)
A cute read, although rather deep for a Middle Grade novel, dealing with the subject of destiny and who controls it. Definitely recommend it for the more mature young reader, considering the heady subject matter, but it also had the fun, odd way of a Juvenile book as well. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it gave me All The Happy Feels when it ended.

Crewel (Crewel World, #1)
Crewel by Jennifer Albin (ARC)
Amazing, original world, but the romances fell flat, Adelice's personality wasn't consistent, and there was something off with the whole story that I can't quite put my finger on. Review possibly to come.

Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1)
Cinder by Marissa Meyer (ARC)
The author visits the end of this month, so it's finally time to discover this series...

So what are you reading this week?

  1. Hey Skye, just wanted you to know that I've popped your book in the mail to you today and I've sent you a private message on Goodreads with your tracking number. Hopefully you'll get it by Tuesday or Weds. :)

  2. I can't wait to see what you think of Cinder and I'm gonna be reading The 100 soon too!
